Japanese tech giant Dynabook has taken on Microsoft's Surface Pro 9 with its latest product designed for business use: the 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) convertible 2-in-1 Dynabook V83/LX.
The new laptop features a 360-degree hinge and can be used in five different styles: pen, monitor, laptop, tablet, and flat. This laptop comes with a Wacom active electrostatic pen with 4,096 pressure sensitivity levels.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a 13th Gen Core U CPU with 16GB/32GB memory and 256GB/512GB NVMe SSD storage. Dynabook says Empower technology, which includes advanced cooling and heat dissipation, keeps it running smoothly.
Pre-ordering may be difficult
This laptop has 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, and HDMI. It also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, a VGA resolution front camera (with the all-important privacy slider), and a microSD card slot.
It is also possible to install fingerprint authentication, facial recognition, and LTE modem (Nano SIM card) as options.
Despite its robust features, the dynabook V83/LX is lightweight at approximately 2.1 pounds (2.3 pounds for the 4G model). Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled.
The dynabook V83/LX could be purchased for a price comparable to the Surface Pro 9, but the company has just started accepting pre-orders on its Japanese site and is currently only accepting inquiries, so potential buyers may need to be patient. Sorry, there's no big “buy here” button.
